Project Three: The Box of Uncertainties —illusion

The other day I was working on project B and needed to find video footage, but to download the material I had to subscribe, so I saw the phrase “The only creative subscription you need from €14.5/m” and I subconsciously thought it would only cost me 14 euros a month, but What I didn’t realise was that when I saw my bill, my credit card had been charged €174, apparently I had been tricked by the merchant who hadn’t told me before paying that this was the price spread over each month for the annual membership and not the button for the monthly subscription plan! I shared the story with my friend who said he had suffered the same thing.

It was obviously a very successful business move, but it also piqued my interest to realise that ‘illusions’ can sometimes cause your brain to pick up the wrong information. What you see with your eyes is not always what is really there.
