The changes I want to see (4. Feedback from Dragons)
I gave a presentation to the Dragon’s group last Wednesday, and here is the feedback they gave:
Rebekah: “Research component and projects and as someone with dyslexia myself and who works with augmented reality. I didn’t even realize all of the different components of I don’t know. I think I think I had a bit of a realization of like. Yeah, that’s why I love augmented reality. So think I think that your proposal is absolutely brilliant and just doing some initial research I can see that there are a couple research papers, but not a great deal. So you’re definitely on to something. I also think it’s really interesting that you’re also considering the safety component in addiction, and we know that. Because of dopamine, sometimes dyslexia also coincides with ADHD, which is about dopamine. That’s essentially about reward, and so computer games can be. All of those considerations in hand, I mean, why not? We don’t have it yet, so why not? Let’s do it. I think it’s. I think it’s really interesting. I’m gonna post a couple links to things I’m also gonna post a link just off the phone to an augmented reality project that I worked on so you can take a look at that in your own time. That was made by folks, many of whom identify as Neurodivergent. So I’ll share that with you in the chat, but I just want to say, well done.”

Margaux: I think this was brilliant the presentation was so good because it was very much about the application of existing technology to real access needs and that’s that takes a lot of boxes for me and I just thought it was just great. And the fact that he had exchanged with the doctor as well and that they pointed out how it applied to their work. I just thought that was really good.
